Hi,
My name is Mike and I am the owner and operator of All Occasion Music, Inc. In 1985 I started out as a wedding photographer by opening a business called Loving Memories Photography.
I always had a passion for music and entertainment. During the time I spent as a photographer I have never met, seen, or heard a Disc-Jockey that provided their clients with any quality customer service. Being a quality minded and customer service oriented individual, I decided to open a business, called Mike the Music Man DJ Service in 1989.
During this time, we offered Photography and DJ Services as a package deal to our clients. This concept was very successful and both businesses began to soar. However, as the businesses grew, I realized that if you grow too quickly without good employees behind you, the quality of service you provide your clients may be sacrificed. I found out that my love for music and performing entertainment services far surpassed my love for photography.
In 1990, I decided to phase out Loving Memories Photography business and decided to put 150% of my efforts towards Mike the Music Man. I concentrated on being the best quality DJ service not only in the area but to make a mark in the DJ industry as a whole. We know our competition and we are sensitive to the needs of our clients. This is what makes us the best in the area as well as in several states.
You set yourself aside from your competition by providing more than they do for the price. Then, you add the best quality you can to that product or service, coupled together with the best customer service, and your end result is a very successful business.
Mike the Music Man continued to grow and in 1994, I incorporated the business to what is known today as All Occasion Music, Inc. I am very grateful to my clients. Even though we are all subjected to life's obstacles, the success of All Occasion Music, Inc. has been the direct result of our clients' satisfaction; without our happy clients there is no All Occasion Music, Inc.
Today, we are a multi-system company with several DJ's and DJ Assistants on our staff. We belong to several professional DJ organizations. To be a part of these organizations, we have to maintain a high standard as a DJ service. This is where the division between a good quality DJ service and one that is not, occurs.
Eighty-five percent of all our clients come from word of mouth referrals. The other fifteen is from bridal shows, World Wide Web advertisements, the logos that are displayed on our fleet of vehicles, or on our garments that we wear very proudly. We are the DJ of choice for many hotels, including Marriott's, Westfields, Holiday Inns, Sheratons, Ritz Carltons, as well as, the most elegant dinner cruise ship on the Potomac River, the Odyssey III. We will have over 13,000 of your favorite pop, oldies, rock, dance, big band, disco, alternative, top 40, and country hits available at your party. Requests are our specialty! Another important aspect of our Music Library is that All Occasion Music, Inc. also remains current with today's hits. We belong to several Music Organizations that provide us music even before the songs are heard on the radio and become the hits you hear!
- A PROFESSIONAL SOUND SYSTEM AND PROPER ATTIRE: Tuxedo’s are our standard uniform, not dress slacks and sweaters! In addition, you won’t see a tangled mess of wires on our sound system to appear later in your photographs. Our equipment is housed in a podium style DJ case that adds to the professionalism of our company.
